About Finance Recruit

I graduated from The University of Nottingham with a degree in Theology before embarking on a PGCE at Cambridge University. After a few years teaching I decided on a career change and became a trainee chartered accountant with Deloitte in Birmingham, where I worked for the next 3 years. A chance encounter led me to shift gears into recruitment, where I have subsequently enjoyed a long career, placing Finance Directors in various industries. 

Over the years, I have developed a deep understanding of the importance to SME businesses in having the right Finance Leader, and having a background in accountancy helps me to quickly navigate to finding the right candidates who fit well with each individual business. I have developed a strong network of finance leaders across the UK and aim to provide a trusted, relationship-driven service to SME Businesses in the UK. 

 Kate's career began in lettings, where she advanced to Lettings Manager for a prominent estate agency, overseeing multiple branches in Northamptonshire. In 2020, she joined a family-run property business, becoming a Director and a qualified member of ARLA. Her expertise extends to property management, development, and interior design. 

Now, while continuing to grow the property business, Kate also manages the rapid expansion of Finance Recruit Ltd. She oversees business automation, IT strategy, marketing, and internal training, ensuring compliance and smooth operations. Fluent in both English and Polish, Kate brings a wealth of leadership and organisational skills to the team. 

These two team members primarily handle mental health support, supervisory roles, and shredding duties. Beyond that, they aren’t particularly helpful, but they certainly keep morale high.
